The Post Graduation in Commerce has been designed in consultation with employers to cover the knowledge and skills that are needed in business. The practical nature of Post Graduation in Commerce enables the students to be highly employable in corporate and academic world.
Course Offered: Post Graduation in Commerce
Duration:  Two-years

The board objective of the Master of Commerce course is to impart to the student professional educational and training in various aspects of business and its environment and provide them with opportunity to develop managerial and analytical skills in order to meet the challenge of business at the national and global level.

Eligibility for admission:
A candidate who has passed the B.Com degree examination of this University or of any other university recognized as equivalent there to and has secured not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate in all the commerce subjects of Business Education in all years (Examination of the B.Com / B.B.M Course) Shall be eligible students the minimum percentage of marks required shall be less by 50%.

Scheme of instruction:

In each semester there will be five papers (including practical)
There will be 25-30 contact hours per week. This includes practicals.
Candidates are required to maintain record for computer practicals, which will have to be certified by the chairman/ Co-ordinator of the course, failing which students will not be permitted to take final semester examination in that subject.


Each semester of M.Com course shall be taken as a unit for purpose of calculating attendance and student shall be considered to have in the required attendance and for the semester, if he/she has attended not less than 75% of the number of working periods (lectures, seminars and practical taken together) during each semester in each paper.


Each student will choose business research project / live business problem in a business organization or industry. He / She will formulate it as a research / consultancy problem, work on it during the III & IV semester this will be evaluated for 150 marks and Viva-voce held for 50 marks.
